Blind Pitch Raises

 Hey Terry,

REALLY?? It is readily apparent from your posts that you are a serious and fine piano technician.? There is much that can be conveyed both verbally and in pictures on our beloved pianotech list , but the nuances of individual tuning techniques, subtleties of which we may not even be consciously aware ourselves, are not among them.? If there is someone in your area whose tunings consistently sound great and hold like the dickens, it would behoove you to watch them in action.? Every time I do this, I learn something valuable, even after thirty years of earning a living as a piano technician.

Cheers,

Alan Eder

I just don't get it I guess. I may just be that I'm blind-PR-challenged.
Don't jump on me - I'm sure someone out there does this will excellent results.
But I have never seen it done. 'Course, I've never seen anyone tune a piano
either.....
