Hi, David: There have been various methods of reattaching hammer felt appearing on this list. You may want to search the archives. I like to use thick CA (superglue), using an accelerator. Or you could use CA on one side, and Elmer's spread on the other. When you press them together, the Elmer's will catalyze the CA glue immediately. The white glue will add to the strength of the bond. You won't need to remove the action to do this, but be careful you don't glue your fingers to the hammer heads (DAMHIK). Good luck. I'd appreciate any advice about re-attaching the unstuck and "sprung" lower side hammer felt on four treble hammers on a 1955 Kemble Minx (spinet type) > piano friends of mine just bought. There is just about room to get some clamps in, but I really don't fancy spending the time taking the dropped action out of the piano. > > Sugestions gratefully received on glue etc. > > Best regards, > > David.
