Sorry Marcel.. That refered to something Terry and I talked about off list. I had expressed concern that not getting a good enough fit for the rib notches in the rim was a potential source of problems. Terry sketched out a couple of the usual ways of dealing with it. It dawned on me that if one made the notches clearly oversized, and then mixed up some epoxy putty and put enough in the notch area, then cover the area with plastic wrapping or something of the like one could press the soundboard and clamp it in place forcing the putty to form a perfect fit for the rib at the notch. Then you simply remove the panel again and the plastic. Doing one at a time is probably a good idea.. thats what I did, because the stuff gets hard fairly fast. When you are done with all.. the soundboard fits so perfectly in place that you dont need any index dowels for any temporary work involving taking it in and out, and of course when it comes to gluing time... well no chance of any problems there at all. Solid as can be. Cheers RicB Either I've missed something or it was said privatly but Ric, could you please explain the epoxy putty thing.. Thanks, Marcel Carey The trick with the rib > notches and epoxy putty works great... btw. Poifict fit as it twere. > > Cheers > RicB >
