David, Thats just about where I stop. Except I have the repinning tools in with the stringing tools. Because I use a laptop with Cybertuner, I have another aluminum case for that. So, from the get go, I start with two aluminum cases. Another for player piano tools & supplies Another for reed organ tools & supplies Another for stringing and action (repinning, hammer extractor, etc) tools A small vacuum cleaner with many attachments (most player pianos & reed organs are never clean) Oh, yeah, a couple of moving tarps in case I need to take player actions apart, etc. I would rather go back to my truck than break my back carrying everything. I started with the Genck case and quickly found that I needed something lighter and many more of them. I've had aluminum cases for about 5 years now and holding up great. The key is not to over stock them. Best regards, Duaine David Ilvedson wrote: > I really mean more than just Tuning kit...what should I have for the most common things I'll run into at a job. Not the job from Hell, just a common appointment, hopefully I've been to before and know in advance about any land mines...in which case I bring in the Jailhouse. I want to keep it light. I'm not really happy with the shaving kit/doctor's bag (I got it at Duluth years ago) if I put too much in it. I've got things segregated in baggies for the time being. I need some little pouches... It has to have my SATIII and the what the Faulk tuning hammer, felt and rubber mutes. I've got a little tool roll that use to have the old fashion repinning tools , I've since dumped and I'm keeping regulation tools I might need. I've got to have a screwdriver, probably a adjustable wrench and visegrip, a lid prop, flashlight. A little protek....see the problem is where to stop...so Duane where would you stop? > > David Ilvedson, RPT > Pacifica, CA 94044 -- Duaine Hechler Piano, Player Piano, Pump Organ Tuning, Servicing & Rebuilding Associate Member of the Piano Technicians Guild Reed Organ Society Member St. Louis, MO 63034 (314) 838-5587 dahechler at charter.net www.hechlerpianoandorgan.com -- Home & Business user of Linux - 9+ years
