Steinway action noise

I have seen this problem on a 1950's D which had the original Steinway
wippens and Renner shanks.  The best solution would have been to replace the
wippens with matching parts.  For financial reasons, the problem was solved
by modifying the regulation slightly.

I actually have the identical clicking problem, but without the weight. 
I am suspecting an incorrect mix of parts. I temporarily improved it by 
reducing aftertouch to a point that I did not like. I'm going back with 
a parts selection and see how things go from there. Meanwhile if you 
find an answer send it out!
