Larry Fine seems to think Boston pianos are made in Japan by Kawai Musical Instruments, Inc.
and Essex pianos are made by Young Chang.

As far as I know, Bostons are made by Kawai and Essex are made by Young Chang.

Boston and the lesser line, "Essex" pianos are "designed by steinway'. but made by YOUNG CHANG (or Pearl River..Eech!) in Korea, *not* Kawai of Japan. Big Difference.
