Adjusting plate suspension bolts?

It would depend on how close the hitch pin area is to the bolt being
turned. In the bass & high treble there is approximately a one to one ratio.
i.e.. for every mm the plate edge moves in elevation so does the hitch pin
array. The Further away the plate edge is from the hitch pins the greater the
movement needed to effect the same change.

Has anyone determined how much the pitch changes for a given change in
bearing?
How does the pitch change vary across the compass?

Albert.

Ron is right, you can do a few at a time. Going up forces you to do more
than one at a time because you are raising the socket screws against the
plate whose stiffness will provide resistance to raising the screw. Going
down you can lower each screw as you go by, say, 1/4 turn or whatever and
the plate will flex only when you tighten down the acorn nuts. As Ron said,
just do it incrementally.
