Hello Don,
 
   This may be a scale   123 , could you 
let me know.
 
   The scale number on Chickerings are cast
in the plate the 123  should be near the front
of the plate.  
    
  There are also 123- A, B & Cs.  The letters
are usually much smaller.  
 
   There is a world of difference in the ones 
with the letters.
