I tuned a Hallet Davis grand today and needed to get the fallboard off. I couldn't get it off. The piano is about 80 years old. The fall is not connected to the cheek blocks, no hidden screws etc. Seem to be a spring loaded pivot but I was unable to removed the fall. Any suggestions?
