Brian: From my understanding of key weight mechanics, it seems that by adding lead you will be increasing the inertia of the key, which slows action down. A console action is just not capable of playing like a grand. Try increasing the hammer spring strength, if possible - you could even install heavier springs. Good Luck. Patrick C.
