Metric vs. inches, digital read out

It's been some years ago I became very lazy(and still am perhaps) so decided
to purchase a micrometer that the sleeve reads in "standard" (thousandths of
an inch) and the digital reads in metric. Oh how nice when we had to blend
with all these Asian manufacturers and I didn't have to convert by the
calculator in hand!

Just a little secret, I still had my preference for many years but I've been
"reborn" to decide I do like the metric system as much as I hate to admit
it! I refuse to completely convert all my instruments of measurement over so
I guess I'm "Bi-measurement". Is it safe to admit that here?

Hey, what ever works for you, but as far as they are making the lines closer
together and the font printed smaller on everything anymore, I've invested
in a nice big lighted magnifier that I can almost even see metal splinters
good enough to pull them out with tweezers. What a world we now live in!
