I'm in farm country and am very familiar with tractors, end loaders, bobcats
and sundry other pieces of machinery being used to move pianos. The one that
sticks in my mind though was the upright I was almost finished doing a 1/2
tone pitch raise on when the husband came in from the barn for his morning
break. He asked if it was going to be OK then, I said yes it seemed to be
tuning up just fine. He said they had been worried when it rolled out of the
pickup coming up the rise in the road(paved)and rolled over on it's top. I
told him I had looked it over before starting and saw no structural
problems. He said it was hard to reload it being wet and all, right after it
fell out there was a 20 minute coudburst!
If I'd known it I wouldn't have touched it but it tuned up fine I tune it
about twice a year and it's doing OK!
