Centering Grand Jacks in the Window

If you have enough hands, you could also either hold down the balancier, or use a short piece of dowel, placed on the jack tip, and strike the dowel rather than the jack directly.

  Tap gently with a small hammer while supporting the side TO WHICH the jack must go to be centered.
