Reason # 101 to COME TO NEECSO 2008 "Of Mics and Men (Women & Pianos) - The Art of Recording the Piano" by Barbara Pease Renner and Jack Renner Frankly, we couldn't believe our good fortune when we pulled this brand new class together. After all, Barbara (a member of the Rhode Island PTG chapter) is a busy 27 year veteran of the recording studios around the world working at the highest level; Jack is a co-founder of Telarc Records (the first and largest of the "audiophile" labels) and is regarded as one of the finest recording engineers in the world (as evidenced by his 11 Grammies). Don't expect this class to be dry; if you have met Barbara or Jack, you know them to have a lively good sense of humor. And we have garnered the assistance of a fine pianist, Ryan Parker, to serve as the recording artist for their presentation NEECSO 2008 may be the only time this class is offered, so don't miss your opportunity. For those of you interested in learning more about recording studio work, it just doesn't get any better than this. We think of this class as a real "plum". So wouldn't you be "plum crazy" not to come to NEECSO 2008 and experience it? April 24 to 27, 2008 in Nashua, New Hampshire.
