Wouldn't it be easier to drill a new hole in the wood, and use the same screw?

Speaking of YC action brackets, the end brackets are all the same. But there are two styles of middle brackets, a long foot and a short foot. The short foot bracket can be used in place of the long foot bracket by simply drilling a new screw hole in the wood.

This picture shows how the long foot bracket can be used in place of the short foot bracket. I simply drilled a hole through the bracket on an angle. It required a longer screw but it works. This is useful to know because often YC is out of stock for the particular model you are requesting for. Just get whatever they have and then modify accordingly.
