Terry, You did a good job of tuning her piano. The piano was in horrible condition and needs more work. She is never going to be satisfied because she expects too much especially for not taking proper care of it, neglect actually. Keep the money, tell her she is not a customer you want to keep. Play hardball. She's not going to get it tuned again anyways for another 10+ years so... Maybe it doesn't sound right because she's used to the way it was sounding. I heard of one story where the tuner got a call because they couldn't hear the notes. Well, yeah. The notes weren't warbling all over the place. Some people prefer the out-of-tuneness, it's what they can hear. Don't send any money back. Don't pay for her short comings. Tell her it will start sounding better soon all by itself.
