Now that's a first for me. I wouldn't expect you would need lacquer on a Yamaha hammer. The recent iterations supposedly use Wurzen felt but I have to admit they would be a bit hard for my taste on that particular piano. I have never lacquered them. They are a bit pricey but are nearly identical in gram weight and physical dimensions.
