Vinegar & salt works great, as does lemon juice & salt, with the bonus  
that it smells nicer. Of course, a good rubbing with Brasso works  
well. Do it en-masse in a small bowl or such, use an old toothbrush to  
scrub, and then give them a bath with water and a mild dish soap.  
After rinsing, dry right away on an old towel, and you, my friend,  
have some shiny key cauls.
