Ship it UPS for a lot less, then ship it back. It will be safer and it's insured.

  I don't think you will ever be able to get your lever through.  I tried this about a month ago and they wouldn't allow it.  I wound up just checking a bag.  I hated to pay that extra $20 each way but what do you do...

    List:  I will be flying to New England next week and wanted to take some tuning gear with me (to touch up my son's piano).  

    I donot plan on checking any luggage;  Question is: Has anyone had any problems getting a tuning hammer thru airport security ?
