Vladan,

Thank you for this comment on lacquer smell. I have noticed since day  
one when tuning a new Steinway D since 2001, that there has been a  
prevalent odor each tuning visit, kind of like the concept of a new  
car smell. 14 tuning visits just this year alone. Now, at least, I  
know that this smell may never go away. (He says with a slight chuckle!)
