"What else could it be, but the brackets?" Perhaps poor job by the first tuner? Is the piano serviceable? Will it regulate? Kindest Regards, Garret --- -----Original Message----- From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of Gary Sent: Tuesday, December 30, 2008 4:55 PM To: pianotech at ptg.org Subject: [pianotech] wurlitzer grand action brackets I have a client with a Wurlitzer grand that is exhibiting every indication of having the growing action brackets. First suspicion was when she told me that it had been regulated twice in 7 yrs . I got the model and serial number, which indicated it was built in 1989. I've spoken with Young Chang, and according to the fellow I spoke with, it didn't fall into those yrs in which the bad parts were used. I've seen enough YoungChang/Weber/Wurlitzer pianos through the years to know the problem when I see it. The customer is willing to pay for another set of brackets, as she bought it second-hand and wouldn't be covered by warranty anyway. What else could it be, but the brackets? Gary
