Grin... you obviously didn't get her talking about the right topic :)
That said... I'm generally not overly fond of interuptions. Toonings
are something I like to just get done and finished with. If its an
interesting job that takes a bit of time for a customer who genuinely
cares for their instrument... well a coffee break now and then... a
cookie or too can be cool. I sat the other day for 4 hours finishing a
basic hammer re-shape / regulating and voicing job I'd started on a week
before. The lady was quite interested in what I was doing and it was no
problem stopping up from time to time and chatting a bit.

That isn't bad, what bothered me was Lady Chatterton
pulling up a chair next to the piano and talked the entire time.
Speed tuning to the rescue.
