My suspicion is that we're supposed to deduct the value of the Journal from
our Guild dues to come up with the Schedule C deduction. (But since the
Journal's value is inestimable, how could we ever put a value on it? <g>)
Convention registration is probably 100% deductable, but meals, travel,
etc., are figured separately.
The final arbiter in all this, of course, is the IRS, which maintains a
handy website for folks just like us:
