Subject: Rebuilding in Key West





On my road trip to Key West, I came across a music shop.  The front room was a luthier's shop and served for retail for guitars as well.    Walking around the side of the building, I came upon a Steinway, in process of being rebuilt.  The plate had been painted.  Against the wall lay the block and lid parts.  The action was in the cabinet, and had new whips and every other shank was new.  As you can see, everything was outside, under an awning.   The tech had left for the day, and I never made it back to say hi.    Bob.
