hammers felt coming apart

Some hammers have a lot of tension still and require extra strength
and holding time. That's why I use a thick CA on the molding and
white glue on the felt and clamp with Vise-Grips. CA alone wicks
into the felt too much, away from the joint, and you risk a failure.

The white glue on the felt soaks in a little but also activates the CA
on the molding on contact and the clamp insures a good contact.
Pre-set the clamping pressure of the Vise-Grips before applying glue
to do the gluing operation in one quick motion.
