Thank you Dale. I will definitely try the Liquid hide glue. I was unsure about the humidity issue, but after your comments, I feel confident to use it, that is if the shop who sold me the cans is ready to take them back because they are out of date (or keep these cans for less critical work ? ). SO far no exploding pianos. What I have found is that as it ages it seems to get really hard.
