Julie,

I used to until I started putting a little drop of lubricant
on each metal to metal string bearing surface. Now they tune quite nicely in
a “normal” amount of time which equals about 45 minutes for me.

Subject: Charge more to tune a Steinway?

Greetings,

Does anyone else out there feel that you need more time to tune
Steinways? Is it just me or what? I am thinking of charging alittle more to
tune them. I have been tuning for 5 years.
