Drydown prior to rib/panel gluing

It may not be.  The procedure I've seen and heard described has always been
to put the ribs into the hotbox along with the panel but, admittedly, I'm
not really privy to the factory procedures.  But I think the question is
getting answered: It's not necessary.

I don't think you'll find that practice traditional at all.  It is 
useful to have the ribs warm if one is using animal glue, but there 
is no need for them to be dehydrated.
