That maker would be Samick.? They had a run where soundboard decals would dry out and curl up towards the strings.? I found that pressing the decal back down would be a temporary fix.? The decal would soon curl up again.? I'd try brushing on some clear? glue next time.?? Samick did used to warranty a repair.? They supplied replacement decals.? I don't know who paid labor.? You should contact them.? Removing the decal leaves a discolored area on the soundboard, and often, the decal is only partially loose.? Each annual tuning will yield another section of decal or two!? -----Original Message----- From: Ray T. The soundboard decal was loose and curled up around all of the edges. The right and left edges were actually touching and buzzing on strings. I'm wondering if anyone has come across this before and how it was solved. I found that it was still somewhat sticky, and was able to push it back down against the board. Then I very cautiously applied some heat to help reseal it. I don't know if it will stay or not. I'm guessing the alternative may to try to remove it completely. BTW, this piano is in like new condition in a small chapel in a lovely retirement facility. It isn't at all dusty or misused. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks. Ray ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ray T.
