Seems like the pills could use a bit wider distribution. For a relatively short thread, there's a lot going on here. Of only minor interest is the number of people who actively chose to include Ms. Jones in their replies. This, in and of itself, reflects either some fundamental technical ineptitude or a dis-ease with the process. Even Les's subsequent posts did not copy her, so I think that, while commendable in intent, the direct 'cc' impulse was a bit misguided, and a gamble. It's one thing to engage in a conversation here, which allows, in theory, reflection, reconsideration, and growth. Its another to be asked to effectively supply an endorsement. As Barbara57 pointedly pointed out, the issues became clouded - environmental conditions, unreasonable expectations of the client, varying technical skills, varying tuning techniques, communication, etc. Not knowing Les personally, I think his rather sarcastic reply to her haiku-esque post should inform my impression of him as much as his web-site. How was she, or any of us to know the nature of his relationship with the client? Maybe Matthew Todd is correct that, perhaps Ron should have waited for an explanation from Les before pressing 'launch'. Here is what the basic question would look like: > are [you] trying to sell the concept that having techs other than > you tuning the pianos will ruin them?
