I can't imagine that type of bridle wire was all that less expensive to make than the traditional ones. Bad decision on Baldwin's part. --David Nereson, RPT I think they were simply an assembly expedient. Poking a wire through a hole is much faster than threading the tab through the loop and then getting the wire in the bridle tab hole. dp David M.
