You can't live without cauls for 0.146" pins as they are so standard. On new Steinways the front pins are 0.131" so if you do any Steinway work you'll need those. I'd recommend getting a set of 0.146" and buy the rest as needed. All of mine are Spurlock cauls though I know there are other good ones out there but Bill will get a set to you on very short notice. If you pick up an action to bush the keys and you don't have the proper cauls, you can order them as you are removing the old bushings and have them within a couple of days. dp David M.
