Greg, Your screwdriver with a quick charge sounds very interesting. I recently bought an electric screwdriver that I just love. It isn't very powerful, so it's not zippy quick (but then, at 62 neither am I! and it does turn the screws easier and faster than I do) and I have to tighten the last bit in the manual mode. However, it does practically everything on the job easier so I'm thrilled with it. It is a Black and Decker Alkaline, with two modes; power and manual. Small print says: AS600 Type 1 6 Volt ??130/MIN RPM Takes 4 AA batteries. I bought it at WalMart, about $7. When I run out of power, I just pop four new batteries in. The first batteries lasted a month. Diane Hofstetter Tool nut strikes again! Greg Newell gnewell at ameritech.net Hey folks! I’ve been browsing a bit after being quite sick and tired of cordless tools and their batteries. We’ve probably all experienced frustration with these things since the batteries don’t last nearly as long as the tool does. You can’t leave them in the charger or the batteries get cooked. You have to wait a fair amount of time after putting them in the charger until their usable again. A new battery costs almost as much as the tool did. Etc., etc., etc. While looking for a new cordless screwdriver I found something of interest I’d love to have your thought on. Check this out http://www.colemanflashcellscrewdriver.com/ .
