I am a tech in NY and nwould be happy to help him with a case and some tools at a reasonable rate as I have a lot of duplicates of stuff. Email me if interested. The effort one spends in feeling badly about things like that is not worth it, as i see it. He could try his homeowner's insurance if you have it for off premises theft. Enclosed were all the things that are vital to his livelyhood including his beloved, Fujan tuning Lever. Of course It does no good at this point to tell him "hat were you thinking" ,concerning leaving his tools in the car. I think he's got that part. The Criminals that stole them will of course either throw them out, being of no use or, of course try to fence/sell them... so keep your eyes peeled on the various Craig's type lists for anything unusual. A young guy just starting out in the biz & loosing 2500 bucks worth of stuff is hard to take.
