Hi, all. I am about to replace the hammers on a Baldwin SF10 that has had the hammers filed about 2 years ago. It helped for awhile, and now it sounds like a tin can again (the player's words). It has the jangling duplex sounds from the front duplexes in the killer range.
I am wondering if Ronson Bacons would be the best choice, or the Wurzen's? I guess the question is to voice up, or voice down? The piano is in a large church, and needs a little "bite".
Do you think the Bacons will come into the sound we want, or should we start with something a little firmer to start with?
