check out the abrasion resistant stuff

But, how about just shortening the AC cord, adding a male plug & 
securing it up close to DC unit. Then, use an inexpensive extension cord 
to plug it in. That way, only the extension cord gets damaged and it's 
reasonably quick & cheap to replace just the extension cord.
