A 1942 Steinway " L" action is in the shop for repairs. It does not have
any hammers. The short explanation is that it was under water in a flood
about 22 years ago. The instrument is just about finished. So far, I've
been able to find the answers I need in my records. I see know that I need
to record the bore angles I've used. To be clear, I'm referring to the
angle of the hole that aligns the hammer (somewhat) to the angle of the
strings.

This piano has the accelerated action; 26 note bass; 28 notes on the treble
bridge through agraffs; the rest under the capo bar. I vaguely remember all
the bass notes at one angle, and the first note on the treble bridge is the
beginning of a decreasing angle through the middle (agraff) section that
comes to no angle for notes in the capo sections.

Thanks to all that reply.
