According to my Pierce atlas (11th Edition) that piano would have been built in 1912. Seems unlikely to me someone would replace a pinblock and do that to a bridge. If it is in a church some of the congregation may enjoy a lower pitch but, I'd definatly suggest confering with whoever will be playing it to find out if a lower pitch is acceptable to their sensabilities before you decided to leave it there.
