[pianotech] grand regulation

My Samick book doesn't list an SG150, but key heights of various models range from 63 to 69 mm, so 70 may be a little high, but not soooo much. I find that on most pianos you want to see about 20mm of key front visible above the key slip.

Blow distance for all models is 47mm ± 1mm.

  Subject: [pianotech] grand regulation

I'm curious if anyone had the PTG book of piano specs? I could use the specs off a Samick SG 150, at least the key height & hammer blow distance. This grand seems to have key height at 70mm. That seems abnormally high to me.

Also, I mis spoke earlier. The action spread is about 113 mm if I pull in the rail as tight as it will go. It will go out to about 120 mm. At 113mm, the capstan is on the back of the whippen felt and the touch is heavy. At 117 mm, the capstan is centered and the action feels good. What are the effects of using 117mm? Also, wasn't there a cross check where the action spread needed to equal another distance?

  thanks
  Ron
