I have had great success with Protek on the bearing felt.  It seems that that 
was the source of the hanging up and poor rendering.  I used to think it was 
a "sticky" agraffe, but no, it was the string's corrosion over the felt.  
Takes about four drops per note, and I have never had a problem with it 
"migrating" to the pinblock or anywhere else.
