I use Purplepower from an auto parts store, diluted 50% with water and
spray around tuning pins and using a shop vac with large crevice tool to
immediately suck it back up while I am spraying with the squirt bottle. After I
am done with that step a use a hair dryer to make sure its all dry. At 50%
strength it works great. At full strength it can remove paint.

I have a grand piano that I need to clean. The plate and pin block
are not dusty, they are dirty! Can it be cleaned without removing
strings? What can I use to clean it that will not damage the
strings, the pin block, etc.?

Any help will be appreciated.
