Don't be too quick to write this off as a typical old square. Mathushek did attempt to resurrect the square shape during the depression years. The scaling was more-or-less modern and the action (with the exception of the keys) was pretty typical Aeolian. I have only seen one of these and was not able to pull the action but it was a pretty intriguing package. I wouldn't want one--not being a fan of the shape and I wouldn't want to be constantly reminded of the traditional square--but it was interesting. ddf Delwin D Fandrich Piano Design & Manufacturing Consultant 620 South Tower Avenue Centralia, Washington 98531 USA Phone 360.736.7563 Cell 360.388.6525 Fax 360.736.5239 E-mail 1: del at fandrichpiano.com E-mail 2: ddfandrich at gmail.com | -----Original Message----- | From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org | [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of | pianolady50 at peoplepc.com | Sent: April 29, 2009 10:54 AM | To: pianotech at ptg.org | Subject: Re: [pianotech] Another Mathushek | | | ----- Original Message ----- | From: "Jon Page" <jonpage at comcast.net> | To: "pianotech list" <pianotech at ptg.org> | Sent: Wednesday, April 29, 2009 8:19 AM | Subject: [pianotech] Another Mathushek | | | > http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/msg/1145519033.html | > -- | | Oh yeah, looks like a modern action to me!
