I so often have a commercial concert tuning, weddings tunings, etc., it seems pointless to make a "rule". I find it much easier to count on a Sunday/Monday weekend as mentioned earlier (despite the Sunday matinee concerts). By the way, I'm just getting over a broken leg, I know I'm not the only tech that's had to find a way to get around schlepping a tool case and such with crutches, how did any of you guys and gals work with that problem? I remember when I lived in New York I got a call from Jilly's (the club where Sinatra frequent and sometimes sing). They said the needed the piano tuned that nights' performance. At the time my rate was $50. I said I would do it for $100 plus dinner for two. I told my wife to get dressed......... we were going out for a fine dinner. Error! Filename not specified. True story. It began as a favor to a customer who lived nearby, when they both began working away from home weekdays. Once you make a Saturday appointment, you have a customer who will demand Saturday only appointments, and it doesn't take very many of those to claim most (soon all) available Saturdays. How have others dealt with this? Ed S. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
