Lou, As I see it the first problem is that without the piano , setting key height and dip is not possible unless you bedded the frame and set samples before the piano went away. You could set the jacks to the knuckles. Ballpark rep lever height in conjuction spring strength for a reasonable hammer rise after checking. Of course all the cleaning, polishing ,lube ,key fitting and squaring , hammer shaping can be done. David is right on in his post. The piano will tell you what the specs are. Tom Driscoll . Not to be glib but working out the regulation specs at the piano is often better than trying to follow some theoretical specs which probably don't quite apply anyway.
