Happy new year everybody.

I Always Find The Source of a Noise

But not this time!

Yamaha C-109 from 1988. I tried everything I know. Usually, the plastic
bushings are worn and switching them with the ones from the other pedal,
less used, corrects the situation. Done that, but the "tick" was still
there.

I switched the connecting rod (with the wing nut) that has a plastic seat
beneath the pedal) ...tic . isolated that rod from the hole it is going
through with leather ...tic

I switched the plastic cup that the spring sits in....tic

A squeak may come from the floor of the piano that has come loose. Prying
the floor up sometimes shows this as the source....tic

Any idea from your knowledge? Thank you.
