[pianotech] Spurlock "best glue pot"

One point I have not seen made is that the Rival Hot Pot does not regulate
water temperature very well unless it is filled to the full mark. Fill it
up; the extra heating time lets the heat get to the temp switch and it works
great for a great price. The thermostat is a simple bimetal switch mounted
underneath the pot in open air (not against the base of the pot) so it is
sensitive to room temperature (and the surface it sits on) as well as water
temp. The water temp swings by about 20 degrees on mine, but that seems to
be close enough as long as your glue container has enough thermal mass. I
use a small heavy glass jar.
