[pianotech] Tuning in a Down Economy

I was pleased to be able to make time this year to attend the Pianoforte Tuners Association Convention in England, after a gap of around 18 years.

I was looking forward to attending the technical classes, and duly sent off my application and payment, in mid-February.

It transpires however that there was such a good response, that applications were closed early - in January, whereas the cutoff date had been March, and classes are all full, it seems.

So although I am very sad that I won't be able to attend, when I'd been looking forward to it after such a long gap, it is at least good to know that even in the present economic situation, tuners in the UK are feeling so bouyant about the trade, that the PTA convention is an early sell-out.

Best regards,

David.
