[pianotech] tips, tuning pin ends

I guess not.  My Fujan came with a Watanabe tip and it looks pretty nicely machined.  I used to have tips from the big house and they were ok though I wore them out pretty quickly.  They just seemed to be made from milder steel.

I would suspect, however, that tuning tips are made with more precise equipment than tuning pins.  The machining seen on tips certainly appears to be nicer than tuning pins that appear to have been rods cut to length and mashed by a big press.
