[pianotech] Giraffe Piano

I actually saw, heard, and played that piano last weekend. It was at an antique fair at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.

It is barely playable. The keys felt "mushy" like there was a lot of lost motion, and the sound was very soft. At its loudest, it was maybe mezzopiano on a modern piano.

Hard to judge the tone because it was so out of tune. They told me it was tuned earlier that day, too.

I had to get out of there because they were trying to sell it to me. I didn't ask how much they wanted. However much it was, it was too much.
