It seems to take quite a bit of effort to insert screws so that they don't look like they are leaning all over the place in a brand new Steinway action stack. Old screws, or new, they just seem want to go in goofy. Things that
tend to help, but do not entirely fix are: Reaming the screw hole with a bit the diameter of the screw shaft, countersinking the brass a bit more than it already is, and finally, brute force against the direction the screw
desires to lean. Better results, but good grief, there's always a few screws that do not want to go in straight.

What is the secret to getting all screws absolutely straight into a new action stack?
